But thankfully, at present, health seems to be high on the agenda. And with that people look for the best forms of food they can get. Therefore these superfoods have become increasingly popular. What are they? What do they do? Most importantly are they worth it?

Superfoods are nutrient powerhouses that are packed with large amounts of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. They are nutrient dense foods. They are said to reduce the risk of chronic disease, and help to prolong life. That is impressive!

Quinoa Breakfast Bowl

quinoa grainsI decided it was about time I discussed the much talked about food of late – quinoa. My staff room, has a running joke that I am the health nut who only eats kale and quinoa. Well first of all I am not a kale lover. I know it is amazing for you and everyone should eat it. But I figure I am healthy enough that I don’t need to force feed myself something that I am just not into, I eat plenty of spinach to make up for it! Quinoa on the other hand well they may be right there. Considering they cannot yet pronounce it, let alone cook it.
